Not a huge fan of FPS games, but I've always been a fan of the Battlefield series (Outside of Hardline) due tot he size of maps and overall content. Despite the stupid name and the for sure EA launch day bugs, I'm excited.

I'm thrilled with this. I love the Battlefield series and I'm glad to see they're taking it back to the World War era. This is going to be a damn good game.

i skipped cod game before last hoping they'd get the hint but they didnt....so im boycotting cod this year...battlefield it will be (even though I hate EA)

I love the fact that it's going back to WW1 era. Hope the name implies there will be a Battlefield II.....although not 2, as there already was one.

BF3 was the last one that I really got into. I felt Hardline was pretty bad. Part of me suspects it wasn't that good was because it was an attempt to avoid having too large of a gap in release dates. PS4 and XBONE released winter of 2013, and Hardline was slotted for fall of 2014 before being pushed back. Waiting for final revisions of the console to come out and building a truly next-gen product would have cost them a year in their release cycle. They put out Hardline just avoid becoming irrelevant for too long. Same thing with The Pre-Sequel. Gearbox didn't want to wait the extra year or so it would take so they put out a partially finished game just to kind of further the story and set the stage for the next title in the series.

I feel that.

The only reason I pre-ordered the next CoD is because you get the Fully Remastered version of CoD 4 for the new gen. That's my favorite CoD of all time so I'm definitely in on that.

I'll be getting BF as well though, as I said.

BF2142 IMO was the very best of the series. The team play, has not been beat since. I spent a lot of time on BF2/2142/BF3, but BF4...I couldn't get into. All on the PC.

Bad Company 2 stands as my favorite release in the series.

I'm going to take a leap onto the PC for Battlefield finally. Playing with controllers my entire life, I'm still weak with keyboard controls. I understand you can still use controller on PC, but I'd be at a disadvantage against the competition. So, I'll be a newbie for a while, suck, and then rise to my normal level of play once I adjust.

The trailer is amazing.

I, however, have lost to desire to have my *** kicked repeatedly by a bunch of 13-year-olds that play these games 12 hours a day. Must be getting old.

Get you some good folks to play with and have a decent team. It will go a long way to stopping that problem when you can't play as often as the kids do.

If you get a really good team it doesn't matter how good those little brats are because generally they have no clue how to play within a team and they get absolutely trashed.
