I wake up i cant make a fist i cant touch my ring finger to my thumb. ITs giant. What can i do to bring down the swelling, i rather not go to the docotr.

Hey, anaphylactic shock is very serious and you are having an anaphylactic (allergic) reaction. Get to the Dr.

No joke.

My wife is an RN... she said to get your arse to the ER ASAP...

Allergic reaction to bee stings can be a life threatening thing...

Do as you wish... my wife said it is better to be safe than sorry...

If you do have allergic reactions to bees, it is a dangerous condition that can cause death...

Don't risk it...

What others are saying is good advice. Stop by the ER and get it checked out. Even if it turns out to be nothing serious, they can still give you something that will make the swelling go away much faster than waiting it out.

I just scanned a guy last week that was a Tree cutter.

He was allergic to bees and knew it...and had his Epi Pen in his truck.

He got stung and knew he was in trouble...so he called for his co-worker to help him and get his Epi Pen...which the guy did, and started to run to him and by accident it went off in his hand.

The guy then went into anaphylactic shock and was unresponsive when the rescue squad got there.

He had to be put on a vent and almost died...and would have had the rescue squad not gotten there.

Two day later when I scanned him he was STILL 3 times the size he should have been and he could barely talk and his memory was shot.

On a side note I went to St Croix last Oct and got bit by something...what I'm not sure...anyway my left hand swelled to twice it's size.

My wife went and got Benadryl...and after a few hours.. it went down.

If you are not going to the doctor tonight, you should at the very least take a benadryl (sp?).

If it is still swollen in the morning or wakes you up at night...go to the ER.

Than again it is only your hand and life in danger if it does not go down and you refuse to go to a Doctor.:

well my hand shrunk a bit, we had a scrimmage but the coach wouldnt let me play. . thanks for the replys.

Hey TB.

I got this itch going on down there. I don't know what it means but it sure does bother me. What should I do?

I really don't want to go to the doctor over it. :D

Yes - it didn't come on until AFTER I left your place the other night. :laugh2:

It is 2:27pm in the afternoon here.

We are not Dr's. We are not the people to be getting medical opinions from. We are no impressed by people who0 do not go see Dr's. Go see a Dr. Live to post the details another day.

you are acouple days to late. And if you would of read the thread a posters wife was a RN. Some of the people on these forums are doctors, or have medical experience. Im not trying to impress anyone, but why go to a doctor when you dont have to, i hate the doctor, and hospitals. People go their with broken bones, missing limbs and real problems.

I can agree with that. I've always hated hospitals, but you have to be careful with anaphylactic shock - it's nothing to take lightly.

How's the hand, now?

Nice.

As a final medical advice, try not to piss off any more bees. :D
