That's true. But with Jerry, we're not seeing that here. I would be okay with him being the head coach but letting younger coaches handle the defensive and offensive play calling. Let Bill handle timeouts, game planning, etc. I really think Jerry will hire him if we have another GB type embarrassment.

He hired Jimmy and Jason Garrett when they were in their 40s. McCarthy was 55 when he hired him which isn’t ancient. I can’t see him hiring a 73 year-old HC. We need a younger head coach with some some energy and fire in their belly.

do you really think he'll be the coach? In some ways it would be a very jerry hire but hard to imagine Bill being able to take such a pain in the...neck owner when he's used to calling all the shots.

I remember this game so well. It really was a glimpse of what was to come. 1991 was fun, all except for the last game (playoff loss in Detroit). But you knew something magical was building with Jimmy and the Boys. Sometimes the ascension is the best part of the ride!

The HC does not matter when the GM is set on running the team into the ground to prove he doesn't need Jimmy.

Yea, and as it stands now without the jimmy hiring (the only thing jerry actually did right), he would be 0 for 36 years in a superbowl drought as owner and GM, then we'd be talking 50 years since the last superbowl victory....
