After watching the Bengals in the playoffs. I could see them as a potential trade partner for there late first rounder.

They need to protect Burrow badly and we can offer a sweet deal to compensate them to that notion.

L. Collins and a Future pick for there first rounder would be ideal.

They get a bonified protector for Burrow for many years to come and we get a pick and cap relief.
Think about it

Highly unlikely. Jonah Williams was their first round pick in 2019 which means he is a free agent after next season. So they are going to have to pay him to keep him as their LT.

Keep in mind, they had their RT in Riley Reiff. He was injured and unable to play in the Super Bowl. Now, his contract is voidable in 2022. However, his cap is only $2.75 million.

A guy like Penning, Raimann, Faalele are all options for them. So there is no need to trade for a pedestrian Collins and pay him $15, $15 and $13.4 over the next three seasons.

Why would we trade a young, quality OT for a late 1st rounder an hope we can draft someone as good as him?

Please don't say Steele...

Number one we free up money. Two if they draft Penning like some would expect and the green would be the next logical fit. You also have Steele and the fact of the matter or the matter of fact we save Clos etc 8 million and Collins is in the Dig house I Dallas with Mr Jones.

Collins will not play OG anymore.

Teams rarely trade and take on these contracts for non QB players. I stated earlier, his cap hits are $15, $15 and $13.4 over three years.

I am not saying a team would never trade for Collins. But to send a 1st, plus the cap hit and toss in he will be 29 next season. It's just not happening unless it's Training camp and an elite team loses a starting tackle. You're going to get a 3rd or a 4th for that because we are the ones in need of cap help not other teams.

They can just play Jonah Williams on his rookie deal, get Reiff back at $3 million and beef up the inside of the OL. They have tons of cap and can sign ANY free agent they want.

That's why i would add a Future pick maybe a 3rd rounder

Not being a jerk by any means. I just don't see it.

Why wouldn't they sign Morgan Moses? (3 years, 7.5 per), Duane Brown (2 years, 10 per) , Eric Fisher (3 year, 15 per). They have plenty of options, cap and can keep their first rounder.

I mean, I guess that frees up some money I would just be hard pressed to move on from a proven OT when down the stretch out OL was a weakness. Collins isn’t the problem.

Ok what if I said you could get Penning and Green with those two picks?

Id say you’re downgrading RT and getting a good player LG in Green.

Why not just keep Collins and draft Green at 24? Way too much risk involved just to save a few million for a small school OT prospect.

My thoughts are this. Collins is already playing games with the NFL drug committee "supposedly " what's next?

So why not get someone who wants to fly wright? He won't play OG js. He can't bend. The olineman oach have been saying it for the last year. Collins thinks he can but he will stand up.
That's not gonna cut it.
We simply are getting younger and trying to play better overall.

Penning at RT will be amazing and Green at LG that oline would be much improved.
