one per position (minus K & P)...not necessairly the BEST player we had, but considering the draft pick that was used, the best value/pick
I'll get it started
QB- Roger Staubach.... love Aikman...great player, awesome talent...maybe one of the best pure passers in NFL history...but he doesnt get the vote here, when you spend a 10th rd pick on a guy and he becomes a Hall of Famer, gets you to 4 super bowls and wins 2, Mr Staubach, you get the nod
RB- Herschel Walker... we've had some great ones...but the best pick in team history at RB was Herschel Walker...we used a 5th rd pick in 1985 on a guy who came in and played great football and became a dominant player...what he did as a player makes him worthy of consideration, but when you factor in the impact of the 1989 trade to Minnesota, this is a no brainer
RT- Erik Williams...got him in the 3rd rd of the 1991 draft...was a real sleeper and turned into THE most domiant OL in football from 1992-1994, before the accident
DT 1- Jethro Pugh...11th rd pick in 1965...was a great player for over a decade and helped anchor one of the leagues best defenses of that time
you egt the idea
David
