Agreed ,however he will not be here. Take a look at Whitney Mercilus at ILLINOIS. He had 16 sacks, 6 ff. High motor, 6'4 265 muscular body and very long. He is projected at OLB. Take a look io'm liking this guy at 14.

I think the guy is a decent prospect just not worth the pick at #14.

I think his numbers are greatly enhanced by the scheme he plays in.

I don't think Upshaw is any big improvement over Spencer. I wouldn't spend the 14th pick on him either.

I think Ingram for SC is a better pass rusher than Upshaw.

Watched some of the bowl game vs. UCLA. His technique is horrid.

He gets by on raw athletic ability...but what great ability it is.

I've read that he's stiff and not very athletic.

I think his numbers are greatly enhanced by the scheme he plays in.

I want the DC that schemed this unspectacular talent into THAT!

I think Ingram for SC is a better pass rusher than Upshaw.

Upshaw would be an excellent pick. HOWEVER, I agree with you that Ingram just seems more explosive, natural. Imagine if he actually LOST about 10-15 lbs. from his listed weight. The guy is a phenomenol athlete, especially for his size. He played RB, LB, and everything else in high school. Watch th evideo of him running the fake punt for a 68-yard TD against Georgia.

we need a guy that can get AT LEAST 8-10 sacks a year in the NFL and will not be exposed by being bad in the rushing game. Or at least have the potential to learn.

I'm a huge horns fan, but I have to say i'm a bit underwhelmed with Robinson. He is just slow IMO.

I don't know about best, but i'm liking what I see out of Vinny Curry.

By the time the draft is here, I'm willing to bet Ingram goes in the top 15. Prior to Feb 2005 how many on this board had heard of Ware??

Ingram is my choice at 14, this is a solid draft for OL, we can get quality in the 2nd. Heck, trade by into the 1st and grab Glenn from Georgia. Two day 1 starters at positions of need.

the fact many believe DeCastro would be a solid Pick for the OL we really need Jerry to step up and get Carl Nicks G, Saints even though he'll cost hes only 26 and would allow us to pick Defense in the Draft. I really feel Jerry owes it to the fans to sign Carl Nicks and Cliff Avril from the Lions. We get an OG and Pass Rusher through Free Agency and focus on retooling the Secondary in the Draft. Jerry you owe us buddy

actually I have read from many sites and even some scouts that think he is just a 4-3 DE. His hips are much to stiff and has never dropped in coverage.

I think INgram and Irvin will both have monster combines and shoot up the boards. Ingram will be a top 20 pick. Remember how Aldon Smith shot up boards last year and even Von Miller.
Last year Miller at this time was a top 10-15 pick then after the senior bowl and combine he was #2.

I'm not down on this lets sign a 4-3 DE thats coming off the best year he has ever had who plays next to a monster in Suh, giving him big money and then making him switch positions. I don't see Jerry doing that either, so I say no chance on Avril.

I think Jerry will make one big money and a few mid-higher signs but thats it. Hopefully Nicks is that big money player.
