I have seen tons of movies. There is a whole laundry list of trailers/teasers I could post that instantly hooked me into seeing the films when they were eventually released down the road--from blockbusters (Star Wars VI: A New Hope) to the not so well-known (The Namesake) to fan favorites (The Blind Side) etc. My current one is my avatar. :p If I were forced to narrow my long list to just one single trailer/movie combo, it would be

Saw the trailer in April of that year and was anxious practically every day to see the movie when it came out that following October. In my opinion, Kill Bill: Volumes 1 & 2 are two of the most underrated movies of all-time.

First I can think of is Avengers (the original). It looked good, but I had no idea it would instantly be in my top three of all time.

One that stands out as far as new movies is Annihilation. Great looking trailer, but still couldn't do the film justice.

IMO it should be in Oscar contention this year. But it won't

It would definitely be a dark horse to land a nomination. Then again, Arrival got an Oscar nod just a couple of years ago...

Every once in a while they throw a Sci-Fi curveball in there. Genre and time of release will hurt it. The fact that it was very good, but maybe not great will probably kill it. I would call it a 9 of 10. Would probably need to be a 10 of 10

Not a movie, but the Witcher 3 had a trailer that blew the wind out of my lungs and the game impressed me even more.

The pathfinder. IIRC someone made a trailer for it to sell it to be made as a movie.

I remember getting chill bumps when seeing the trailer for the Planet of The Apes. I couldn't wait to see that movie when it came out, and it did not disappoint!

BTY, this was the original POTA with Charlton Heston, screenplay by Rod Serling, and music by Jerry Goldsmith.
