I agree. I don’t want him in coverage but as a run-stopping LB and blitzer he has the tools to be really good. He’s explosive, he’s a violent hitter, and his closing speed is impressive. He gets from his spot to the ball carrier very quickly.

He plays too wildly sometimes, so hopefully with a cerebral safety behind him in Downs that will improve.

So eager to see Barham get after it

I think Dallas got numerous contributors in the draft. Downs, MLaw, Barham, LT and Moore. Downs, MLaw and Barham will have plenty of opps for some burn. I think all 5 will be starters or play significant roles at some point with injuries. Let see if they can carve out a role. If Guyton sucks again Shelton might get a shot there also.

I keep seeing comparisons to Zack Baun with the Eagles. If we can get anywhere close to that, I’ll be thrilled!

I liked the Barham pick. Though another player from Michigan.

Downs a sure fire starter. Barham and Lawrence if not starting, will be in a rotation, and will contribute right away.

It's unfair to compare Barham to Taco and Mazi. Plays completely different. This was a great pick if fans look beyond the helmet.

The Cowboys liken his skill set with Arvell Reese.
Not that he is as good, but he plays the same game.

I am intrigued by Barham and Smith. Really intrigued by Trigg. Interestingly on the final draft show yesterday Nick Harris said he talked to his Baylor contacts about Trigg and they said he took a big step forward with his maturity last season which was one of his bigger problems. If you watch Trigg play, clearly he belongs on an NFL roster.
