Big 12 fans, question for you

During this whole conference realignment process the old Big 12 commish, Dan Beebe, stepped down (or was forced to step down). Chuck Neinas was put into the role as Big 12 commish but was put in place as the interim until another was hired.

Has anyone heard any rumors about who the Big 12 commish will be?

I only ask this because Neinas seems to just be an interim and I heard a crazy rumor that WVU AD Oliver Luck might be in line to take over as the new Big 12 commish.

I know he has had ties with many in the big 12 and seems to be close with DeLoss Dodds and word is they worked together a great deal (along with Neinas) to get WVU into the Big 12.

However the rumor said Luck may leave next week to be the new Big 12 Commissioner.

So I was wondering if any one else heard anything about this or if they have heard about any other names that have been floating around as the Big 12 commish.

Have not seen any information on Big 12 Commissioner. If the rumor is true about Oliver Luck I would welcome that. I think he is a pretty sharpe guy.

As I read through the top part of your post, I thought, "I think I'll ask BP if he had heard anything about Casteel"

Guess you heard the same thing.

I wish everyone involved in this sort of thing would have the integrity to keep it quiet until these kids can play their bowl game.

In the long run, Holgorsen may welcome this so he can bring in one of his guys, but I wish people would learn to keep their mouth shut when it is appropriate.

Oh, and I have heard that about Luck too. Obviously I hope he stays at WVU.

All the games are set except for the TCU and WVU ones which will be traded out with the Mizzou A&m slots. Though it has been announced TCU will play Texas on Thanksgiving, presumably in Austin.

Welcome to the Big 12 WVU, crazy that 70 percent of next year's conference finished in the top 25 of the BCS.

OSU, Kansas State, Baylor, TCU, OU, UT, WVU.

Gonna be competitive conference next year.
