Big important few days coming up

For any team in the NFL the next few days are very, very important. Decisions have to be made about players as rosters are cut to 53 by Tuesday. And trying to retain certain guys on the practice squad and not losing them to other teams is very important.

Another thing that is happening that is important is sifting through the cuts by other teams and looking to find players that might be valuable as Cowboys. IMO the Cowboys should be looking hard at available OL talent and WR players in particular. But anyone who is a potential upgrade talent wise should be considered. This is one of those times during the year that management moves can really help a team.

They simply have to sign a vet tackle. Or Stephen needs to step up and fire himself.

One of the big problems the Cowboys have had is starting field position. I think that will change this season. If we are a Smash Mouth dink and dunk ball control offense. I don’t think we’ll have any issues. He’s protecting the quarterback for the intermediate throw that will be a problem. This is all about playcalling

I think the coaches are very qualified to find talent to fill the needs on this roster. I suspect they like many of the posters here on this forum believe the team has some needs. They probably need a few guys to add quality and depth at least. And perhaps they need a first team starter or two. But the question that I have is "Will Jones & Son step up to spend the money or make the trades that are needed?" Recent history tells us that the Cowboys are reluctant to part with money or draft picks for those type players.
