Strum said the same thing last year about Tyler Smith. "If they take Tyler Smith in round 1, I will submit my retirement papers". Yet he still resides at whatever rag he's writing for these days. Mosher hated both the Micah and Smith picks. Most of these so called experts have never played a down of football and Strum & Mosher strike me as more pickleball types.

Roseman has made some nice moves but he isn’t exactly immune from mistakes.

He has made his share.

Like a decade of missed first round picks before he decided to only draft big school SEC players.

JJ Arcega Whiteside instead of Metcalf and Jalen Reagor instead of Justin Jefferson jumps to mind.

Some of his first round picks:

2014 Marcus smith - BUST

2015 Nelson Agholor - BUST

2016 Carson Wentz - well, y’all know.

2017 Derrick Barnett - BUST

2018 No Pick

2019 Andre Dillard - BUST

2020 Jalen Reagor - BUST

He had to change something because he was about to get run out of town by fans.

Luckily for him, he has an owner that lets him freely supplement the draft with free agency because Howie misses big time in drafts.

Moving up and trading 3 other picks to draft Jordan Davis last year is going to come back to bite him too. Spending a first round pick on a 2 down, part time DT isn’t smart… but trading up and using 4 picks to take a guy who doesn’t effect the QB just because he ran fast for a fat guy, is just dumb.

He was smart enough to put together a roster and hire a coach that got to the Super Bowl two times in the past six years. 10 of his 11 offensive starters were drafted by the team. He can afford to make mistakes since he hits on a lot of picks 2-7. It’s almost as if he doesn’t research the first round as much as the other rounds. The offensive line for them the upcoming year will have a 1st, two 2nd’s, a 6th, and a 7th round pick starting. Not bad.

With a ton of free agents. I’m talking about the draft.

It's funny because I listen to WIP and don't recognize the name. But I only listen on weekdays if I do, and only real early morning or on the overnights.
