Bills lose Teague, two others to injuries
NFL.com wire reports
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (Oct. 3, 2004) -- The Buffalo Bills lost starting center Trey Teague and left tackle Jonas Jennings to injury against New England.
Teague did not return after hurting his left knee early in the second quarter. Jennings was knocked cold following a helmet-to-helmet hit by Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork in the third quarter.
Wilfork appeared to blindside Jennings, who was standing in the Bills' backfield shortly after Drew Bledsoe completed a pass over the middle to Eric Moulds. Jennings lay face down and motionless for a few minutes before finally being revived by the training staff. Jennings was escorted to the sideline and then to the locker room in the fourth quarter.
The Bills also lost starting cornerback Troy Vincent, who did not return after hurting his right knee in the first quarter.
Vincent was hurt on the opening drive as he pushed Bethel Johnson out of bounds following a 17-yard reception. Vincent had his right leg twisted beneath him as the two players tumbled at the sideline. Vincent limped off the field and was carted to the Bills' locker room.
Patriots receiver Troy Brown did not return after sustaining what the team said was an arm injury in the first quarter.
