Bacon is the greatest! The wife tried to switch me over to that fake turkey bacon and I hated my breakfast for a couple of months. I researched it to convince her otherwise. So we made some adjustments in the curing and nitrite intake and agreed to moderate but at least I'm finally back to good ol' American pork belly bacon!

In our employee dining room we call it fakeon. On the rare occasions they do bring out a big pan of bacon, word gets out fast and everyone has to "use the the restroom" at the same time. You could rob the Casino blind at that point.

OMG, turkey bacon is bad enou8gh but she tried to get you on fake turkey bacon? Oh, the horror. What is fake turkey bacon? Parakeet breasts thinly sliced?

I don't like bacon, I love bacon but I have been on the natural for quite a few years avoiding nitrates and nitrites so I can ingest other bad things without guilt. Every time I prepare to drink or eat something "bad", I tell myself "CC (because that's how I address myself), you old rascal, you are ahead of the game because you're eating natural bacon". I eat so much of it I am Porker's Enemy #1 on their post office walls.
