Blithering Idiot of the Week (going into NFL week 3)

I'd like to start a new thing. Blithering Idiot of the week. This goes to a sports personality or media person who said something about the Cowboys that was insanely idiotic. Since the Cowboys are a target for a lot of vitriol, I am going to start awarding "Idiot of the Week" to the person with the most idiotic statement about the Cowboys that clearly made no sense. So, this is more to publicly shame the idiots in the media. Sometimes there is a choice, or sometimes, the statement is so outlandish that the personality or media person gets it unanimously. I think, for this week, it's unanimous.

He wins it for his incredibly stupid remark about Diggs which has brought him incredible amounts of flak, and deservedly so, from even current players in the league. Even dumber, he tried to use a Stephen A Smith to try to get a laugh from Stephen, and got shut down by Stephen. As such, yes, we have our first Blithering Idiot of the Week!.

Definitely, it was nice to see SAS, along with Ryan Clark, shut it down. And I think Bart Scott is a good first recipient of Blithering Idiot of the Week. (I should add that I was crying of laughter while writing the OP because blithering Idiot is such a hilarious phrase and fits Bart Scott).

With all respect, media folks say idiotic things for the attention it gets them, good or bad. Calling them out is giving them what they want. Threads like this, if anything, increase rather than decrease the idiocy.

I suppose, and, tbh, I was a bit hesitant at first about writing this. However, I started laughing while writing the opening paragraph, and, as I pushed on, I felt I had to continue with how I was roaring with laughter writing this thread. So, I felt, since I was laughing so hard, I should probably post it to try to share the laughter with others.

SAS is a gimmick to generate clicks and likes. He is the old Bobby Heenan, Paul Heyman, Jimmy Hart type.

He is friends with the players and Jerry Jones included.
