Bobby Taylor attempting a comeback

7/2/2010 7:07:53 AM

Veteran cornerback Bobby Taylor is telling current and former players that he is fixing to make a return to the league this season and is going to contact teams in the next week or two according to Brad Biggs of the National Football Post.

The 36-year-old Taylor has been working out in Houston, according to one NFL source, and is in excellent shape. He’s looking for a chance to work out for teams and will be sending out videos. Taylor has said he is looking for a team in need of a third or fourth cornerback and is also willing to consider a safety position or a hybrid role where he is a backup at both positions.

Taylor, a second-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1995, is a former Pro Bowl performer. He played for the Eagles through 2003, and then spent one season with the Seattle Seahawks before the team released him in training camp in 2005. Taylor had foot issues when he played in Philadelphia and missed half of the ’04 season in Seattle with a sore knee. Taylor has not played a down since 2004.

He and Troy Vincent were quite a pair of CB's for the eagles.

In other words... He's broke.

Yep, and he'll have about as much success as broke over the hill boxers when they try to return.

Wow. Hasn't played in 6 years now and he wants to try and make a comeback?

He probably won't even make a team unless it's the Raiders or the Commanders.
