What's the old saying? If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going? :laugh2:

===============================================

Dressed in specially designed All Nippon Airways livery, with a big, bold, blue "787" splashed at its fore, Boeing Co's Dreamliner will fly from its Seattle birthplace to Tokyo on Tuesday, and, just over a month later, begin active service for the Japanese carrier.

Loyal passengers of other 787-recipient airlines will have months, possibly years to kick their heels before experiencing the high-tech, $185-$218 million craft. Should they wait with bated breath for what Boeing 787 Chief Project Engineer Mike Sinnett has called: "The most technologically advanced commercial airplane in history"?

I know few myself. Friend of mine, his dad is the VP of the Boing 737 division in Seattle. His said his pops folks and all of the people of Boeing are ecstatic.

This plane will punch Airbus in the face. That rediculously enormous and crazy expensive A380 is an eye sore and the person who thought it up should be fired.

What were they thinking creating that jetliner? It can only land in a handful of airports world wide.

It was the same issue w/ Concord when it was ruled that it was way to loud and that it would never be allowed to land outside of London/JFK/Tokyo and a couple of other places. It nearly destroyed the company until they gave away all of the Concord fleet to BA and the French.

dumb dumb

Long live Boeing!

Many years ago, I used to work on the tarmac at DFW. The Concord used to fly in sometimes. One thing it definitely was, was cool

adbutcher is one of the lead engineers on it. I wonder if he's going to drink himself silly.

And I think big dog cowboy works for one of the Boeing contractors.

Either way, these guys are happy...

Good News for Ad...the project is done.

Bad news for Ad...he celebrated a little too much and his co workers stuffed him in the baggage compartment. :eek:

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Darn happy day. Sometimes I wondered if this day would ever come. This single event means more than most understand about the economy of the USA. Now the race is on to see how many and how fast Boeing can get them out the door.
