I enjoy meeting authors and buying signed books.
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to meet author Michael Blake, who has a new non-fiction book out.
I had a good visit with the guy and he was great to talk to (he briefly went to the same university as I did). I bought a copy of "Dances With Wolves" and got it signed.
A couple of years ago, I got to visit with Elmer Kelton and pick his brain. He's in his 80s and has been named the top Western author of all time by the Western Writers of America (beating out Louis L'Amour). He signed for me a copy of "The Good Old Boys," which became a film starring Tommy Lee Jones.
Anyone else have any book-signings stories?
