Sure seems like things have become very dull in the past week or so.

Though Bill was tight with information at times I think many folks still hung on his every word at press conferences. With Wade, it seems like he's willing to talk but he really doesn't say anything. Maybe its because of Parcell's reputation as a football god while Wade is just... Wade - no disrespect intended.

Maybe its because TO is so quiet this year.

Maybe its because we think we have a better read on this team in 2007 than in recent years.

In any case, it just seems like a very boring camp now and it will remain as such until final cuts are announced and we play that first regular season game.

Parcells was part of the cult of personality, a good coach made mythical by his reputation and charisma.

Wade mumbles in Texas drawl and is succinct and non-confrontational.

Different people, different styles, different legacies, same football team as a commonality however.

Low key is fine, speak on the field with a win and smile off of it.

Wow, lots of big words in that one.

The games (at least the Denver game) have been more fun to watch.

Even that, has become a bit mundane for me. I now expect us to look good. Very good in fact. More of the same this weekend won't do much for me because it still leaves us wondering how well it'll translate to the regular season. Now I'm confident it will translate well, but it cannot be proven until September 9th. Til then, I'm kind of bored.

The unfortunate thing about 2007 is that even strong play early will inevitably lead to whether or not we will fade in December again like we did in 2006 & 2005.

I guess I'm not just anxious for regular season football, but actually for playoff football because I think this team is gonna be that good. I think we're gonna be a serious contender in the NFC.

I think there is tremendous potential with Romo at QB, an emerging O-line and this defense starting to find itself. Tremendous potential.

I want to see us start playing for keeps.

If your point is that the days of the Cardiac Cowboys are gone, I agree, and I'm very very happy. However, from a pure football viewpoint, I just can't see why you'd think the games are more boring. If you're just watching the score, yeah, that makes sense, but the actual plays are much more fun.

I would love to get back the mundane days of Cowboys winning ALOT and winning SB's. It was the same thing all the time... playoff wins, trip to SuperBowl... winning the SuperBowl.... thats a mundanity I can live with :D

I really do not mean the games are boring to watch. Not at all. Its more that the games don't count, they have limited importance, and I'm ready to move on to the important stuff, playing games where both teams obviously are all about trying to win so there are no excuses.

And there isn't much drama on the days in between preseason games either. I think we have a better feel for this roster than we have in several years and the fringe guys are truly that, for now, because our starters are high quality players who cannot be challenged yet by the young guys just trying to make the club.

I don't long for the latter days. Not at all. I'm just kind of surprised at how uneventful the 2007 preseason is.

It could be worse.....You could of been born a Browns fan....Try to look on the bright side of things CoCo....things can always be worse....

Tony and Crystal could be having a baby while Carrie looked over their shoulder. Oh wait. thats Tom Brady, I forgot, to much excitement.

Maybe this week we'll have lots of procedures and holding penalties, and stupid mental mistakes. Then you can imagine Wade's PC saying that we are up to our arse in alligators, and that he doesn't coach penalties. We can hope that he runs one of our rb's 10 plays in a row to see if he has what it takes to make the team, and shorten the game. Maybe we lose and the gloom and doom will set in.

NAHHHH! I'll take boring and Wade.

I listen to the PC's for about 4 minutes tops..Like the thread starter said, He talkes alot but He doesnt say anything.

Yea, Wade is "country dumb", we're 2-0, the coaches for Denver were mad because we blitzed them, maybe they won't be laughing too much longer. all this guy has done so far is fix the d, get TO to practice, totally rebuild a new coaching staff, etc. Maybe he can light up the Texans, anybody still mad about them getting us a couple years back, time for some payback..
