10. Kyle Pitts TE Florida
Offensive weapon at 10 isn't ideal but Pitts is a mismatch that has to be covered and still open it up not only for Cooper, Lamb and Gallup but Zeke and Pollard will see much less stacked boxes. Wanted defense but BPA....... Surtain and Horn were gone

44. Kelvin Joseph CB Kentucky
This guy would be a top 15 pick if not for some character concerns. Couldn't pass up the talent here and could be a lockdown shutdown corner. Jerry has used the 2nd round to gamble and I think this pick will work out.

75. Jevon Holland S Oregon
Holland was at one point the projected top safety but with Grant and Moehrig raising Holland has fallen a bit. Couldn't pass up the value here but was looking for CB Paulson Adebo but went a few picks before. Holland would help the safety position and has the talent/ potential to finally give Dallas a long term answer at the position.

99. Chazz Surratt LB UNC
I have Surratt as a 2nd round guy but the upside is tremendous. With other LBs rising up the boards Surratt seems to fall into the 3rd and 4th round lately. Only has 2 years at LB and was a tackling machine. Was a QB but made the change to LB and was instantly really good. Understands what QBs look for in routes and can get the turnover. Decent getting to the QB as well as running backs. Tons of potential but still developing.

115. Tyler Shelvin DT LSU
Great spot to grab some 1 Techs to help in the run game. Great value here and can clog up the middle. Building in the trenches is a must and I'm not done at this spot in the draft. Big and strong and can handle double teams to help Lawrence and Gregory to get free whenever they are 1 on 1.

138. Marvin Wilson DT Florida State
Many have soured in Wilson but I take advantage of that here and double dip at DT. Gallimore and Hill have some upside but I want competition and force them all to get better. Wilson freshman and sophomore tape is amazing and reports are he played with a knee problem last year and could explain the regression. I'm taking a chance and Wilson could end up a probowl guy in the middle.

179. Dazz Newsome WR UNC
Yes I grabbed a 2nd UNC player but at this spot I'm looking for value and potential. I don't think Newsome will ever be a top 20 receiver in the league but he is a 4th to 5th receiver guy that could play special teams and make some plays. Not a burner but tracks the ball very well and catches with his hands and is sure handed.

192. Benjamin St-Juste CB Minnesota
Really like his upside but what I like the most is his tackling. He squares up and wraps up with great form tackling. Uses hands well to reroute receiver at the line of scrimmage. A little stiff when turning to run and is late to get his head turned around.

227. Erroll Thompson LB Mississippi State
I grabbed another LB here since Dallas is very thin at the position. I don't think Thompson will ever be a star but is one of the better run stopping LBs in the draft. Needs to react quicker but he gets to the ball carrier and most the times brings him down.

238. Shane Buechele QB SMU
Has upside. Goes through progression, doesn't panic and waits as long as possible to make the right pass. Doesn't have great arm strength and tends to float the ball some but does have a good arch that allows receivers to run under the ball and hits them in stride to give as much yards after catch as possible. Tough and smart, could backup Dak day 1 and after developing could be trade bait in a couple years.

I love this draft. I am not too keen on Wilson as some are due to his inconsistency but I’ll take him in the 4th round.

Really like it, except no Tackle and not a fan of Surratt who really struggles getting off blocks. In that range, I would prefer another option.

You can teach Surratt how to shed blockers and his upside is through the roof.

As far as no tackles I'm ok with the OL this year unless Slater, Sewell, Jenkins and possibly Darrisaw is drafted. Being that this is BPA mock no OT was best available and that went for LB as well when I took Surratt.

Thanks for the feedback

Think Surratt is very soft, not a fan. It happens some needs cannot get addresses like Tackle.

I don't see any way he falls to the 4th but yeah, I would have to agree with that view point. A lot of people are sleeping on this kid, IMO. I think that his injurie issues have been confused with lazy. I don't really think that's the case. Now, injury is a concern that probably tells you he is a rotational type player and not a 4 Qtr, 17 game guy but, he's an excellent 1 or 2 gap control player. I think he's a guy who could fit into our scheme. Not a 1 Tech or NT but could probably play Weakside DE or the 3 Tech.

oohh, I could live with this draft.

I doubt any of Pitts, Holland, or Wilson will be there for those picks.
But if they are....niiiice

I'm digging this draft. Being a Tar Heels fan, and watching Surratt since high school, I'm not a fan of him being on my team, unless he's a special teams marvel. If we do select him, I hope he improves into the upside we think he has. Wilson, if available in the 4th is a nice place to grab him. Over all, a nice haul for the Boys!!

I think Surratt is more of a tweener. Hes like 225-230. OLB / Box safety maybe. He is smart and quick to diagnose plays. Maybe a cool guy to play on pass downs because he can rush the QB and play pass defense. Dazz Newsome is about a solid day 3 pick as you can ask for. He simply catches the football and will go up and get it. He terrified teams in the ST return game.

Wasn't that said about Jaylon and LVE.....they still can't shed blocks.

Cause all players are the same right.....

They can shed blocks by the way but if the DL would do their job your LBs are much more likely be able to run free

What are we doing here? Ignoring the needs of this O-line is a huge mistake. I can not go along with the above picks. It's just pure drafting malpractice to not get a top-tier offensive lineman in this draft.

They weren't best player available. It's easy to read it in the title.....BPA.

Also after the first round I'm not big on any of the OL and you can't fix everything in one draft. Plus I'm ok with the OL right now and the depth. Need to bring Looney back to backup Biadasz but I don't see all the injuries happening again this season.

Who's draft board are you using? I'm not leaving it to fate for Sewell or Slater to fall to the 10th pick. I'm trading up to probably the Bengals at the 5th pick to draft Sewell. I propose this year's 10th pick, next year's 3rd round pick, and WR Michael Gallup will be enough to make that trade happen.

I'm using my own draft board cause I like to use my eyes and not what others say.

As far as that trade it would be the worst trade in a very long time. If Tyron was gone I still don't think OT is a huge need. Brandon Knight will be fine at LT. Now if Slater(number 1 OT in the draft) or Sewell were to be at 10 I'm taking him.

Reason why Sewell or Slater has a high possibility to make it to 10 is cause 4-5 QBs could go top 10, 3 receivers could go top 10, 2 corners could go top 10, Pitts could go top 10 and you have 2-3 OT that could go top 10.

Only 9 players can go before Dallas pick and I just listed around 14 players that all have a chance to go in top 10.

OT isn't such a need you are making your receivers worst plus losing picks in the future to trade into top 5 to draft a guy when you could get a future franchise guy at 10.

You lost me at "I'm using my own board". Nothing after that matters.

Yep cause experts that say guys like Jamarcus Russell are can't miss is the board I want to follow. You want to follow someone else board then go ahead, I prefer to watch film and grade players myself.

Don't give your opinion on any players from now on. You gave to use what others say...... makes sense right
