I'm sorry but this guy is washed up. He looks like Vinny, without the arm strength. Time to let him walk as soon as someone is available. I cringe everytime he drops back to pass. Granted the second line didn't do him any justice...but still he just doesn't have it anymore.

You're preaching to the choir...Amen:bang2: :banghead:

I would rather Dallas find another backup, his arm looks like a wet noodle out there on the field... Dallas better get the Simms kid.

We knew this last year.

Did anyone think he would be better this year?

Think everyones jumping the gun a bit. It's PRESEASON football & the guy pretty much NEVER touches the ball in the REAL GAMES ( cept to hold it for the Kicker ) so why get all up in arms over his shoddy performance tonight? Just settle down people.

That's just it. If Romo goes down, we're doomed either way. There's nobody out there appreciably better than BJ.

Usually with a veteran QB, you depend on his ability to make quick decisions and make good reads. But Brad "Happy Feet" Johnson can't even do that anymore.

He's back there making a fool of out of himself. I hate to imagine what it would be like if he actually had to play for an extended time.

C'mon Jerry....make this a priority. A half decent backup QB will help me sleep better at night.

Isn't it nice to be arguing over our backup QBs instead of arguing of which backup QB can be made a starter? :D

Brad actually looked better than I anticipated. Didn't check down on every throw and he made a few nice down-the-field throws. While he had that INT, was that his fault or was the receiver not where he was supposed to be?

Don't get me wrong. He's a very suspect backup quarterback at his age. But I was actually pleasantly surprised by his effort tonight.

Because knowing Jerry, he will be on the roster opening day, and is one play from being the starting qb for my Dallas Cowboys. The dude sucks arse, he shouldn't have been on the roster last year and he ceretainly shouldn't make the team this year. But we don't have a real GM, just an owner playing GM.

So true...but we're Superbowl or bust this year. We can't go limping into the season with this scrub on the roster.

What if Brad has a stellar performance next week, would you still want to cut him?

Yes. We need a backup who may have a future at some point.

And when was the last time Mr. Johnson had a stellar performance?? With the Bucs or Commanders back in the Campo era?

He was pretty good in Minnesota. ;)

the man can't handle pressure... he'll improve with a first time o-line... however, i still think we should bring in another vet qb... there's so many qb's looking for a job, i don't see why not? brad just can't take over a game, he's a liability...

damn the pressure the man can't make all the throws that is expected of a QB in the nfl
