And all of our fans here think Dak shouldn't play.

Meanwhile, Brady, Mahomes and Allen are all getting in important reps during preseason.

Like at least give Dak and the starters one series.
They are all much more skilled than Dak and clearly have much more desire to get better at their craft.

Dak isn't built like them physically, mentally, or competitively.

Players get better by playing football.
I think fans will blast the team no matter how they handle preseason. If Jerry had said all the starters were playing people would be moaning about risking injury in meaningless games. Dak was coming off multiple injuries last year, barely practicing and not playing in the preseason, and he and the offense came out of the chute on fire.

The truth is that none of these teams is what it's going to be until at least four games into the regular season and a half of half-*** football in the preseason isn't gonna change that. The Rams notoriously sit their entire starting roster for preseason games. Look what that lapse in judgement got them in 2021.

And meanwhile Stafford (aka the reigning SB champion) played neither this year nor last (guess they were not that important to winning a SB). In addition, Jackson, Herbert, Rodgers (aka winner of the past 2 MVPs), Carr, and more are all not going to play a single snap in the preseason. Playing snaps where no one is going full speed against generic defenses has no correlation whatsoever towards winning or losing and can only derail a season which considering the situation the Cowboys are in having more injuries would do just that.

and Dak has no say in who is playing and who is not including himself. He is a player not a coach or owner/GM
You really believe that don't you?

You poor thing.

Show me where Dak said he wanted to play and McCarthy or Jerry told him "No!".

If he wanted to get some reps in he could get some reps in.

He don't.

total opinion and no reason to question daks desire and ability based on speculation.
Show me where Dak has said that he wanted to get a few reps in and McCarthy or Jerry told him "No".

The desire isn't there.

There's more than just skills that separate Dak from the top QBs in the NFL. The desire to be great is just not there like it is for the top guys.

It sucks that we have to pay for it as Cowboys fans, and it sucks even more than some fans feel they have to defend it.

The names you mentioned don't even belong in the same conversation as Brady, Mahomes and Allen. Maybe Herbert. But all those other QBs are trash. No comparison at all.
