I'm one of a few bullish on this kid's 2025 season. He was a no-show his rookie but played with more confidence last season. He has worked out with Dak in each of his three off-seasons. I know many disagree but he could be our No.2 guy by the end of the season.

Cowboys' Brandin Cooks predicts breakout year for Jalen Tolbert as WR3: 'The time is now for him'

Published: May 27, 2024 at 08:04 PM

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Tolbert is heading into Year 3 in the NFL, and with more snaps to go around, he's on a mission to prove he can be a consistent asset for his team.
"That's my goal, to go out and prove to myself; I am who I say I am," Tolbert said Thursday, via ESPN. "Obviously, you hear that all the time. But just go out there and chase greatness. I have two guys who ride along with me in CeeDee (Lamb) and (Brandin) Cooks, and I'm looking forward to following in their footsteps and doing what I can to create value on this team."
Lamb and Cooks are the established one-two punch of the Dallas offense, but with the release of Michael Gallup, who was third among Cowboys WRs in receiving yards in 2023, and a lack of action in the draft or free agency to add anyone, there's a void at the No. 3 spot that Tolbert is poised to fill in 2024.

Have a big year, will be hopeful for the following year, we WON'T pick up another WR because of him, in 2025 he'll want big money, will get the big money and he won't be the same guy as in 2024!!! MG13 pt 2

Count me among the "many." This guy is being promoted quite heavily on here before the live rounds start flying but I'm not seeing a dawg in this one. I just want an all-out battle for the 3 position and if Tolbert is the best then so be it.

Meh....give me Brooks....need bigger targets on this team. Cooks shouldn't have been brought back.

Tolbert plays too cautious in games. I hope he steps up but he gets small when the lights come on.

As I said, there were big plays missed by he and Prescott, had they connected on just those three passes, that's 150 yards and two touchdowns. Which I'm sure would have resulted in more targets and more plays made. Better timing between the two will no doubt result in better production.

I forgot that fact…it’s unfortunate. I read somewhere that he made the majority of his 2023 yards in like 2-3 games…he just wasn’t a “difference maker” game in and game out.
