Cooks is ready to come back and watch passes sail 10 yards out of reach and out of bounds as he's running open down the sideline. Welcome back, Brandin!
don't forget he's ready to be thrown into triple coverage as well

Cooks wasn't lighting up the stat sheet before the injury. I doubt much changes when he gets back.

I expected Tolbert to take over that WR2 spot with the opportunity, but I think Cooks will get his spot back. Hopefully, Tolbert grows into a high-end WR3 to finish the season.

it won't ..

.. between an awful McCarthy scheme that insists on stop routes and comebacks instead of scheming to get him on the run - on the move
and a QB that for whatever reasons cannot connect with him on deep fly routes, (he'll either over thrown .or under throw him) .. it seems
this club is gonna waste Cooks skills.

If Brandon Cooks was on a Detroit, Houston (should have stayed there en route to CJ Stroud) KC Chiefs or Miami team, they would have
made much more use of his speed and skill set.

Maybe they should not have put him on IR. They didn’t place Micah on IR.
Right seems like they're backwards once again the coaches don't really have a good feel on injuries, they called micah's Parsons a week to week and he's still apparently limping per some reports if you want to believe them but yet cooks looks like he's ready to play..ugh

the more this goes on the more i wished the entire coaching staff was purged top to bottom that means AI gone as well no carry overs.theres just to many issues to figure wheres it has gone wrong,

Cooks is nothing special. Way overrated. A great guy and solid veteran, but his speed is gone.
We don't have any explosive route runners. Lamb is NOT a good route runner. Lamb is not explosive unless he gets the ball is space. Get him the ball in space against a subpar CB or by scheme, and he becomes explosive. But he is not quick off the line of scrimmage and doesn't separate much better than the other JAGS on our team. He is neither fast, quick or physical without the ball.

Great receivers beat double coverage because they are physical like Irvin on the slant or quick and good route runners like Beasley or a speed threat like TO which makes the DB give them room. Jerry overpaid for a #1 receiver who hasn't mastered his route-running and doesn't seem to work on it. However, if there was another real threat at receiver on the other side, Lamb could get back to being explosive.
DBs are not afraid of anyone on our team and safeties don't even have to think about our RBs.

Dak struggles to hit guys in stride on short plays and the receivers or whomever catching find it too difficult to make up for the poor ball placement. For the kids at home who don't know the long passes place much more emphasis on receivers adjusting to the ball where the short routes are all QB (too little time to adjust for the wr).
