I forget who it was, but someone was saying in the game thread that Aubrey could be our Dan Bailey. So far, he's been very solid. I like his demeanor out there. And his kicks are like the announcers were saying, "looks like a golf swing." He just goes out there, lines up, and it almost looks like he's putting it in with his leg. I have no doubts about him choking under pressure. For a rookie, even though he's 28 years old, he's been pretty darn solid up to this point, which is good, because the Eagles got themselves a kicker, too.

He's also our first kicker to make 5 FGs in a game since Dan Bailey.

He launched that 55 yarder on Sunday. Could have been good from well over 60.

Aubrey - with his lack of college football pedigree - took a ton of abuse here in pre-season. Didn't get off to a good start with his first extra-point in NY, but has been getting the job done ever since; good for his confidence moving forward, for sure. He has a great backstory, and I wish him well.

Looks great.
But I will still be slightly nervous for a while longer.
Let's see how he does with the game on the line. If he is ever in that situation this year.

His motion and power looks effortless. Worried about how he handles nerves in big games but experience can overcome some of that. Not a bad start so far.

Kids got some leg. There may not be a kickoff returned against us all offseason and I'd let him attempt 60 yard FGs the way I'd let other kickers attempt them from 55. Full disclosure: I didn't look at the game day thread, but you can't tell me I'm the only one who got just the slightest bit bit nervous when he missed his first kick of the year.

Yep.

I definitely give the organization credit for going out and identifying this talent.

I was very skeptical of their initial approach to the kicker position, but I have to give credit where credit is due.

They look to have found a good one.

So far, so good.
