Brandon Harris in the 2nd, best bet for CB?

He measured in at 5-9 1/2 at the combine, that might be enough to push him to us at #41, which IMO would be the best bet for taking CB allowing us to take OT/DE in round 1.


Is it worth waiting for B.Harris in round 2 so we can address another need in round 1?

I would love to be ablt to get Harris at 40 but it wont happen, there is always a run on CBs in the 1st round.

But I would love to trade back a few times, pick up an extra 2nd and 3rd.
Get Carimi and Harris with the first two picks.
then still have a 2nd and two 3rds left.

Mayock didn't sound terribly sold on Harris,and when it comes to DB's, Mayock is my Guru.

Maybe in the 2nd it's worth the pick, but I think we'll have a wealth of talent available at that spot.

I would stay away , The kid nailed the drills at the combine and no doubt has skills but he's just to small and would get abused by bigger wr's like the (notre dame game ) i would hope we use our round 2 pick on either o-line or d-line depending on what we do in the first . r3 or 4 we may be able to get a house or ras -i or burton.

Brandon Harris at 40 would be great. Doesn't have to start now, can wait a year and learn. I thought he came out to early anyways. This gives a year to learn and watch and play nickel and dime.

I hate Scandrick as a player. He sucks in man cover and is only good in zone. Thats why he did good the 2nd part of the season. Paul P was playing zone.

Aaron Williams is another guy I would love to have mid-late 2nd. he can play nickel now and then in a few years develop into a starting FS.

kinda the reason why i dont want another small CB . Like i said i do like harris's skills .but there are some really good cb's to be had in round 3 and 4 IMO

if Harris would have stayed in school another year he would be a mid 1st next year. He has great ball skills and can cover. HE left because of the coaching change.

Revis is 5-11 and Asante Samuel is 5-10, also Joe Haden is 5-10. I guess you don't want any of them either.

yeah because he would have grown 2 or 3 more inches right? just stop . i never said he didnt have good CB skills , The smaller than expected height to go along with his poor vertical and the fact that he got abused in the notre dame game (hey if people are going to hold okie st vs prince) spell trouble vs bigger recivers espcially in the red zone. And in round 2 i would hope we used that pick on either o-line or d-line because there should be better CB value in r3 or 4 . That's what I said .

The Cowboys sure seem to have a cut off at 5-10 if you would note their history drafting CBs. Newman and Jenkins are 5-10 1/4 and that little bit of height does matter along with arm length. Jenkins has really long arms.
