Ring that Bell BABY......guy plays with natural instincts and attacks the LOS. Read, react, fill the gap and make the play. Something they just could not get Cox to do. His role reminds me of old high school football, we had a monster man,...hybrid LB/S. And he is just learning the position.

New YouTube guy (to me) to me with a nice breakdown of Bell.

I agree with his thought that If Bell was this good and ready vs San Fran, instead of Barr playing, we’d have won.

Thanks for that. Does a good job highlighting Bells gap and zone discipline. The Jaws sound effects were money. Does an outstanding job of the detailing PFF's inadequacy in grading coverage. You can tell he knows how to evaluate tape. I gave him a follow.

Yeah we played the monster defense in the 70's, hybrid 5-3.

Long gone are the days of jaylo smith sitting 7 yards deep waiting for the play to come his way then jumping on the pile at the end.

He looked really good Sunday night and hope he continues to play well. Takes a bit of sting out of the Overshown injury.
I think he could allow us to move on from Kearse in 2024 and not skip a beat. Clean fit for that role as a sideline to sideline box S

Dumb question, I keep reading that Bell is playing the Overshown role. Isn't that the Donovan Wilson role? He was on the bench, and Wilson was the guy making the key stops last year at safety.

Wilson still having a hammy issue, or they are being overly cautious.
Wilson was used a lot on Safety blitzes last year. Will need to see if they use Bell as well until Wilson gets back on the field.

I believe Overshown was going to be used in a spy role for the more mobile QB's. Now it will probably be Bell or even Thomas.

Way way better watch than Voch. Voch rewinds the plays too much for me. I think this cat reviewed 8 plays in around 5 minutes. Voch would've made it a 15-minute breakdown. I like to rewatch the plays myself, which I do all the time. I haven't watched Voch in a long time so please let me know if he's changed on that.

Man, Bell is a heavy hitter. There are guys that, for whatever reason, just hit harder than other guys. Just hit like a much bigger player. Bell is like that, and we have seen it going back to last preseason over a year ago. The guy is just a load, and I love guys like that on my defense.

I hope they can manage to still carve out playing time for him because he absolutely deserves to play more after Sunday night.

I knew he is a big hitter but what I didn’t really expect to see was such great instincts for playing LB. He’s just a natural player and makes great decisions on every snap. He is a right-place-at-right-time guy, and those just aren’t easy to find. Add to it that he’s such a great hitter and you’re really on to something.

I don’t know who is responsible for bringing in Bell… but someone deserves a big pat on the back. He is a real find.

I agree. IMO he was as impressive as anyone on defense on Sunday night. I think keeping it simple and putting him in the best position in key. There is most definitely a role for that kind of player.
