I think you can trace the offensive struggles of this team directly to the tremendous drop-off in the passing game from the first 6 games to the last 6 games. The running game has remained very mediocre all season, but earlier in the season, the passing game was great. Now, it is pretty much awful due to a lot of factors. Obviously, the offensive line is a huge culprit, but I think there are questions as to whether Bledsoe, Glenn and Keyshawn are just running out of gas as older players tend to do.

DAMN!!!! What a drop in Bledsoes stats. We are 3-3 in our last 6 games, we were 4-2 in our 1st 6 games, Bledsoe and Glenn were coneecting like crazy, they better get back on that streak, i want us to get in the playoffs so bad, these boys better step up

hmm, when did Flo go down?

maybe that has something to do with it.

When will people learn? Just watch the tapes from Buffalo. When there was no O-Line Drew did horrible. When he had protection he did great. This season after game 6 we lost an All-Pro left tackle - the key position. This proves that we didn't imagine Drew doing so bad before. That's what will always happen if he doesn't get enough protection.

Flo went down I game six the same game we lost Crayton. 6 games ago before today.

Since we are tossing stats around here is a somewhat intersting one I saw.

In games where Crayton had 2 or more receptions we won, if he got less then 2 we lost. Stats @ Yahoo Sports

IMHO this does not mean we HAVE to get Crayton the ball it means in games where Drew spread the ball around more we have a better chance of winning. Which means we need to get out of max protect, run the shotgun or dink and dunk, but max protect is killing us. Someone pointed out in another thread when we got out of max protect we got a little spark on Offense.

Teams 'run out of gas' with younger players too.

It happens when a half season of game tapes are in the sweaty little palms of defensive coordinators, and a few injuries have thinned the ranks.

Late season is when vet experience typically comes to the fore and wins games for you.

That is not happening here chiefly because the QB isn't getting the time he needs, and the holes aren't there for the backs.
