Don't mind trading down and getting Horn; he's a day one starter and CB1.

We got way too cute after that.

Onwuzurike is another quick get-off, gap-shooter who doesn't hold his gap and is a liability against the run.

I like Ar'Darius and think he'll be a solid Nickel, but we still have very little at Safety.

Smith and Odeyinbo are meh. Feel like McClay's constant swing-and-miss gambles on measurements.

I like Gillespie but he's Donovan Wilson's back-up.

Newsome's decent. Rochell is feisty,.

The rest have little chance of making the team.

I like trading back and Still getting a top CB plus an extra pick. Levi would be a force in the middle and good value at 44. Washington is short but good. I've got to think there's a better OT at 78 than Smith. Dayo would be a great pick. Gillespie has the potential to become a starter. Have to see who else was there with the Newsome pick, guys like Frank Darby, Anthony Schwartz, Marquez Stevenson, and Cornell Powell would be good options there. I like finding a blocking TE, don't know much about Moore.

Would love to get Rochell on day three.

The Dallas Cowboys double-dip at another position in the secondary, but that seems almost inevitable with the pending departures of Chidobe Awuzie, Jourdan Lewis, and Xavier Woods.

“Rochell’s physical profile alone gives him a nice floor, but I was impressed with how smart he was in coverage. Rochell appears to have an understanding of route concepts, and he doesn’t bite on a route when he sees that it might lead him away from an approaching receiver. In zone coverage, he maintains positional discipline, and that allows him to serve as a safety blanket against short run-after-catch plays that might break big.”

Furthermore, Rochell is solid in other aspects of the game as well. The Central Arkansas cornerback is a good tackler, courtesy of his closing burst and length. He has excellent ball skills down the field, possessing the capacity to rise and disrupt passes, and that capacity even extends into run defense. There, Rochell can also use his length to jar balls free. This past season, he forced a fumble and returned it for a touchdown against UAB. He has the playmaking gene, no doubt.”

-There is little chance this front office takes an undersized player like Washington
-We have major issues in stopping the run, yet no NT drafted, linebackers taken too late

All the mock drafts are interesting, and if someone has the time to research a bunch of players, have at it.

But really putting out a mock draft that goes all the way through the 7th round is silly, there are thousands of available college players, trying to predict who the Cowboys will take at number 194 or 236 is correct is an exercise in futility. Just to see Dallas pick somebody that no mock draft had on their list is also entertaining, of course.

Right off the bat, Philly trading UP to get Fields is awesome. I'd love to see them do it.

As for the Cowboys.

- Don't mind the trade and there are some options there at 14 based on his mock. I like Horn but you could also have gone Parsons if you want a more traditional LB or even JOK there if you are looking for one of those hybrid LBs. The one thing that concerns me with Horn, and it's noted here and elsewhere, is that he can get a bit grabby and in today's NFL that's just begging for a flag.

- In the 2nd, I may be overrating him, but I like Tufele, who was still on the board at this pick, over Onwuzirike.

- I like Washington in the 3rd. I've seen some mocks have him as high as early 2nd which I think is a bit of a reach, but in the third? I can live with it. With our second 3rd rounder, Smith is an interesting guy and we could use some depth at OL. But then I scrolled down and saw McNeill still sitting there. I'd rather take him. With our 3rd third rounder, Odeyingbo is an interesting guy. If I were running this, I'd have gone McNeill with our second 3rd rounder and then come back with Little with our third 3rd rounder. But obviously I have the benefit of seeing how the whole board lays out.

After that, it's really just a crap shoot as you get into the 4th-7th rounds.

Overall, not a bad draft. I personally would have gone Horn, Tufele, Washington, McNeill and then Little.

IMO that draft would blow.

I could probably live with the first three if we trade out the OT/G in the third for a 1-tech. Not going to do better stopping the run unless we get some beef.

Not sure whether Onwuzirike would be the better pick or Tufele, but I'm with you on the rest. If we came away with Horn, Onwuzirike/Tufele/Nixon, Washington, McNeill and Little with our first five picks, I'd feel pretty good about our bounty though that point of the draft. I'd probably want to double-dip at safety instead of worrying about depth on the OL, since we absolutely have to find a starting free safety, but I can't argue with Little's value at that point.
