Bristol CT: Monday, September 24, 2007 -- Bill Parcells (Via MerlinFTP Drop)
CAPTIONBy MerlinFTP DropBill Parcells, the two-time Super Bowl-winning coach, is rejoining ESPN for the third time. This time with a catch. The former head coach of the New York Giants, New York Jets, New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys will star in a one-time ESPN SportsCenter special called, Bill Parcells Draft Confidential, ESPN spokesman Bill Hofheimer confirmed Thursday.

The 90-minute taped special is slated to air the week of the 2011 NFL Draft from April 28-30, which ESPN will cover along with the NFL Network. The show will take TV viewers inside Parcell's perspective on draft strategy based on 30 years of NFL experience as a coach, front office executive and talent evaluator. During the show, he'll go one-on-one with Mike Tirico, play-by-play analyst for ESPN's Monday Night Football.

Awesome! Definitely going to check that out. (And I'm such a Parcells hater.)

another TALKING HEAD

exactly who cares i'll be wathcing NFL network anyway. Back in the day when ESPN cared about the draft they had kiper a host and let it rip. Now they are all about bringing in more and more talking heads that want to talk about everything but the draft. I bet that he doesnt even talk about this draft he will be there to talk about past drafts blah. These stories are old and have been told over and over.

Watch NFL network mayock is just like all of us . He's a junkie. He is gabbing about the guy who just got picked while trying to predict who will be picked next and will talk over any of the studio guy's like faulk, irvin or sapp who dont belong there on draft day IMO . i can't stand when they go to the former players during the draft for some useless segment . i want them to go to scheffter ,mortenson or La Canfora and lombardi for rumors and inside info. that's what makes the draft watchable not a BS segment from a pompous former coach/GM and a story about the 1987 draft save those stories for one of those "america's game" documentary

Maybe he can explain Bobby Carpenter, the dismal Olineman drafting, or why he wanted Spears over Ware

Naw, he actually did well in the draft overall. Witten was a great get, for example.

oh great, if anyone can make the draft a snooze fest it would be Parcells. I cant wait to hear his advice on how to assemble a draft class of 8 picks that wont be on your roster in 5 years.

This just confirms to me that I will be watching the NFL Network Draft Coverage.

It's the way I have been slowly headed more and more each year.

This year I hope to not have to listen to either of them at least for the first 2 days.

Still amazed at the hatred Parcells gets around here. This team would still be a 5-11 cellar dweller without his influence.

He left, eventually things went back to the way they were and Dallas ended up with last year's debacle.

He doesn't consistently turn teams around with dumb luck.
