Brent Venables to WVU?

Getting word that Venables has been offered the DC job at WVU.

Don't know if he will go or not but maybe he will since the Stoop Brother is coming back to OU.

We also have Joe DeForest leaving OSU to come to WVU as a coach.

Don't know about Brian Stewart as I have not heard that name much the last couple of days.

Update: Heard OU really wants Venables to stay and is trying to convince him to stay.

Yeah it was reported earlier today that he said no however there are also stories out there that Clemson is offering him the job now.

Mike and BV are co-dco's now. They both were spotted yesterday or a day ago at Will Rogers airport flying out recruiting together.

Mike Stoops, the younger brother of OU's head coach, returns to Oklahoma where he coached from 1999-2003 while working with the Sooner secondary. The move will reunite Mike Stoops with Brent Venables, OU's Associate Head Coach. The two previously served as co-defensive coordinators and authored some of the nation's best defenses.

"Mike and Brent have a long history and comfort level working together, and have together led some great defenses," Bob Stoops said.

Looks like he is staying but if a nice DC job were to be offered, he might go, but I am banking on BV staying and working w/ MS to get a great defense put back together.
