I can't tell you how excited I am to watch this kid play for my beloved Dallas Cowboys. Not only is Caleb Downs a great player, but he's also a class act. I have watched interviews he is an impressive young man, the way his dad raised he and his brother is a big part of this. Ever since Caleb was a young boy he was taught the right way to play football, that is huge. He was taught to love the game,and play the right way.

Lets hope that the greedy agents and prima donnas in the club house don't change him. The force is strong with them.

Correct. It’s 4 out of these 5. I’m not sure who to leave out. But it’s definitely 4 out of this group

I think the strategy was pretty take a blue chip defender at that first pick. I think thats why they moved on Downs. Bain was probably the pick at 12 if they didn't and he is too flawed to be a blue chipper

If New York had no intention of selecting Downs, they made a huge mistake not trading with Dallas to acquire more picks. Fano would have still be there at the time Dallas picked, I think Proctor was going to Miami regardless.

Correct. The Dolphins probably told Dallas they were taking Proctor and gladly took two 5ths to move down one slot and still get their guy.

I cannot believe the Giants passed on Downs. I know they needed o-line help but they had to know Dallas wanted Downs. They must had Mauioga (spelled wrong I know) higher on their board.

Downs was raised the right way. He won't let the prima donnas change him. This kid is too smart to fall for it. His dad played in the NFL and knows all about this too.
