Has anyone else heard this? It's interesting coz it implies he and Jerry were not on the same page, especially paying off MM and coaches contracts.

That’s what I heard as well. In fact he wanted to hire Schotty at that point. He’s in love with him

Of course he does. Both undeservedly got to where they are because of their last names. A kinship born in nepotism. I'm sure Schotty spent lots off the clock time coozying up to Stephen, tutoring him on play schemes/concepts, making him feel important. Ya know, playing the political game.

Would put more stock to it if Bryan used more conviction than, "think".

Stephen also wanted to sign Saquan, not resign Dak, trade up for Jayden Daniels, hire the next greatest coach ever, put curtains up, pay the asst coaches top salaries and be a great guy, per sources

I have no idea if it is true, but if it is, then it tells us who was in charge last year. I suspected Jerry was still making the final decisions, but if this is true it shows he is.

It would also show Stephen is not completely dumb. Yes, last year there were some prime candidates for HC on the market. It would have been the time to pick one up.

I just don't know how much control Stephen has.

Then again, I keep reading that Stephen is the one that like Schottenheimer. So who knows?

That’s cool and all and would make people feel a little hopeful for when he takes over.

But then it comes out that he’s the mastermind behind Schottenheimer being the HC and you realize that it’s going to only get worse after Jerry.

Yes, I think it was Belt who said this last week. That Jerry refused because of course he wasn't going to pay a guy to sit on the beach.
Does this cheapskate know he can't take the money to the grave?

Has he not made a killing off of all the real estate he owns in America's premier boom town, Frisco, TX?

I swear the most disturbing aspect about the last few seasons is Jerry's thriftiness. I mean those of us that follow the team closely have known about it for years, but it just feels much more pronounced now.

It's just so strange for him to be going out like this.

Oh I think he has quite a bit but it's STILL Jerry's team. He reminded us of that a few weeks ago with his I bought an occupation comment.

LOL pathetic like I would believe anything that ever comes out of the mouth of a Jones. Stephen wanted to sure he did. Was this while he was on the yacht getting wasted and screwing under aged girls?

That is honestly what we should have done especially if we wasn't going to resign him. Last year was truly a wasted year and now look. I would have taken Vrabel in a heart beat. I still can't believe we didn't even request to interview Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn. Unless they just straight up denied us. Which is very possible.

Does anyone have proof of this? I would love for this to come up and force the Jones to sell the team lol

LOL ....understand you and Stephen Jones are looking through different lenses
**You have zero respect Dak
**Stephen invested $60M per year. Perhaps Stephen is convinced Schotty can get the most out of Dak. What is interesting is if this is true, and what we hear about Shotty's type of offense is also true, Stephen is admitting what you have been saying about Dak and his limitations.
