Those look like Halloween costumes. The Brooklyn Nets have an awful color scheme and logo.

My wife said they look like prostitutes. I said they look like girls from rap videos. She replied, that's the same thing. :laugh2:

Of course, what do you expect when you have a rapper and a crazy Russian billionaire who hires prostitutes? That is what your going to get for cheerleader uniforms.

Now I'm a big fan of cheerleaders being "all things happy pretty and cute" so I'm personally not into these, but that team is going to make so much money of of merchandising.

I was tempted to buy season tickets because then you get first right of refusal to concerts - you know Jay Z is going to have that place printing paper.

Then you said...that one girl looks real familiar and your wife said, she better not look familiar and you said...I think I know her...and that's how the fight started. :p:

I'm sure the guy that's in charge of the hardwood floor at their arena is overjoyed with the stiletto heels.

I'm very ignorant of the Jersey and Brooklyn areas. So my question is what was the point of the Nets moving? Do they have alot of fans in Brooklyn?

If nothing else, Brooklyn has 2.5 million people in an area about 1/5 the size of Dallas proper. Very loyal residents, and it is gentrifying very rapidly. Plenty big to host a Major League Baseball team(it did before), and would probably have an NFL team if it wasn't a part of New York City. Its also close enough to New Jersey to retain its fanbase if people in Jersey still want to support them.

Ha! Nobody wants to be in that cesspool New Jersey! It's always better to be a New York team vs a New Jersey team. This is why both the Jets and Giants are New York even though they play in New Jersey. They play in New Jersey because it cheaper and land readily available.

Being in Brooklyn also puts them on the New York subway system. (they are only two or three stops from my work stop) Playing in New Jersey you had to switch to the PATH train or other New Jersey transit to get there. If you were coming from Westchester or Connecticut, you had to take Metro North -> Subway -> New Jersey Transit. That was a long convoluted commute to go to a game. (I've done it)
