At this point who has impressed you more at the WR position, Brooks or Tolbert. Let's not let draft position affect your judgment either. I think Brooks may have better hands, yet Tolbert may be better all around. Is it too early to assess all of this yes, but I can't wait to see who wins the battle, please give your thoughts

Tolbert has clearly impressed the most because he has played and produced the most (last year). However, all that matters is who impresses the coaches this summer and wins the #3 spot. My hope is that Flournoy or someone beats them both out as they both have serious flaws, mostly lack of speed, skills, route running. I think next year we need to draft another talented wr early.

Brooks looks like he could be electric, but I’m sure we need to justify the pick on Tolbert instead

Training camp will be the deciding factor but Tolbert had one advantage right now. He plays special teams and the 3rd-4th WR has to play ST. I’m sure we will see a bit of the 4 top guys early in the season either way because that’s when you realky get to evaluate guys

I’m sure I’ve read that Brooks is not fast, doesn’t separate, has no impressive skills. Where he shines is in making tough contested catches in traffic. That’s a value, but in long term planning, I’d like to have a #3 who has the speed or route running that could eventually help him climb to #2 or #3. Right now we aren’t even sure either of these guys are legit #3.

If you can’t invest in another talented young guy that may be a 1 or 2 later, then give me a quick guy like Beasley or Turpin, a slot receiver who can separate from just about all slot defenders. Who knows, if Brooks or Tolbert or Turpin don’t bring it in preseason, maybe we go with a huge mismatch type at #3 like Stephens.
