I think its less about the fans and more about Watson. How that guy was able to sign an NFL contract after being accused of sexual assault by over 20 women is one of the league offices great mysteries.
More like how he wasn’t put in jail. That’s an actual crime if he did it and somehow never saw jail time which is odd if he did do those things.

As a Cleveland resident, I don't like it (btw, he's torn his Achilles). But, I also understand people here in Cleveland wanting him out of here as quickly as possible.

That said, it's disgusting to cheer when a player gets hurt. It was disgusting when the Eagles did it to Irvin, and it's disgusting when my city did it to Watson.

They weren't cheering the injury. They were most likely cheering the fact he would no longer be playing. Had he been benched, they'd probably cheer too.

That's pretty much the sentiment I've heard around town. I think people are hoping that's the last of him with the Browns.

The bigger question is how much Watson cripples the Browns now that he can't play, and perhaps never plays for the Browns again?

That said, I guess it can't get much worse because he was crippling them when he could play.

All I remember when I heard they signed him and how much they were paying him was if he doesn't win a Superbowl for them in his first two years, the team is screwed.

My guess is they will probably play either DTR or Jameis Winston. They probably will be going QB in the draft.

Well, and if there are more allegations that he didn't tell the Browns about, they'd have a way out financially from him.
One could argue that if there are more allegations that still haven't come to light, the Browns didn't do their homework when they hired him.

One could also argue that if the Browns paid that much money and were still trying to cover their butt, who is more stupid, the Browns or Watson?

As much as everyone here can complain about Jerry Jones and his own stupidity, the Browns ownership had their head up their arse when they signed Watson for what they paid him. They made a hail Mary pass to win a superbowl with Watson, and the odds were right on and they lost, which they should have assumed.

Just shows how cold hearted the market can be. He got that contract (and Houston that draft haul), because he had multiple teams bidding. Browns, Eagles and think the Bears were the biggest bidders iirc. Teams so desperate for a QB, they were willing to overlook anything to go all in

Given that Roseman would be front and center of a trade for Watson on the Eagles side, I highly doubt the eagles were a serious contender.

You did make me look out of my own curiosity. Everything I read came from second hand "inside commentary people" who get paid to take WAG's.

Chicago? I could see them doing something stupid like that LOL
