Some cold-hearted people out there........
If Hannibal Lector ran a 4.3 forty, NFL front offices would say he has an eating disorder.I think its less about the fans and more about Watson. How that guy was able to sign an NFL contract after being accused of sexual assault by over 20 women is one of the league offices great mysteries.
More like how he wasn’t put in jail. That’s an actual crime if he did it and somehow never saw jail time which is odd if he did do those things.I think its less about the fans and more about Watson. Those fans don’t give a damn this the same fan base….I think it’s less about the fans and more about Watson. How that guy was able to sign an NFL contract after being accused of sexual assault by over 20 women is one of the league offices great mysteries.

As a Cleveland resident, I don't like it (btw, he's torn his Achilles). But, I also understand people here in Cleveland wanting him out of here as quickly as possible.
They weren't cheering the injury. They were most likely cheering the fact he would no longer be playing. Had he been benched, they'd probably cheer too.
With so much guaranteed money and him not playing for so long...that's the real questionI think its less about the fans and more about Watson. How that guy was able to sign an NFL contract after being accused of sexual assault by over 20 women is one of the league offices great mysteries.
The bigger question is how much Watson cripples the Browns now that he can't play, and perhaps never plays for the Browns again? That's pretty much the sentiment I've heard around town. I think people are hoping that's the last of him with the Browns.

That said, I guess it can't get much worse because he was crippling them when he could play.
All I remember when I heard they signed him and how much they were paying him was if he doesn't win a Superbowl for them in his first two years, the team is screwed.
I would assume that would be a given. My guess is they will probably play either DTR or Jameis Winston. They probably will be going QB in the draft.

Did come across this on Watson and the Browns options
https://frontofficesports.com/deshaun-watson-achilles-tear-contract-browns/#:~:text=Unless Watson medically retires, he,dozens of sexual assault allegations.
One could argue that if there are more allegations that still haven't come to light, the Browns didn't do their homework when they hired him.Well, and if there are more allegations that he didn't tell the Browns about, they'd have a way out financially from him.

Just shows how cold hearted the market can be. He got that contract (and Houston that draft haul), because he had multiple teams bidding. Browns, Eagles and think the Bears were the biggest bidders iirc. Teams so desperate for a QB, they were willing to overlook anything to go all inI think its less about the fans and more about Watson. Given that Roseman would be front and center of a trade for Watson on the Eagles side, I highly doubt the eagles were a serious contender.Browns, Eagles and think the Bears were the biggest bidders iirc.
