What better way to replace a Badger than with another Badger?
The Cowboys have been having a pretty incredible 2020 draft so far, and it’s largely because they have let high-ranked prospects fall into their laps. But near the end of the fourth round, they decided to make a trade up the draft order. The best part? It was with their bitter rival, the Eagles:

Dallas moves back into the 4th round, giving up pick 164 (5th round) and a 2021 5th round pick, to get Philly's pick number 146.

Keep in mind that Dallas came into this draft with two picks in the fifth round, so giving up just the 164th overall pick in this year’s draft (plus a fifth-rounder next year when they are going to have a ton of compensatory picks) is a bit of a steal in and of itself. They still get to pick from whatever’s left in the fifth round before sitting out the sixth round.
Dallas didn’t just win the trade, they also won the pick by selecting Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz. Measuring at 6’4” and 314 pounds at the NFL Combine, Biadasz is a hulking monster on the interior with an impressive résumé and a difficult to pronounce name. For the record, though:

Nicknamed “Tyler Badass” at Wisconsin, he was consistently one of the nation’s most impressive interior linemen during his three-year career. After the 2018 season, he was considered the top center prospect by a wide margin, but Biadasz regressed in 2019 due to what he later revealed was hip surgery in the offseason.
Prior to the 2019 season, Biadasz earned recognition for being a dominant run blocker and a reliable pass blocker, solidifying the interior of the Badgers’ offensive line much in the same way Travis Frederick did for Dallas. The hope is that Biadasz recovers his pre-surgery form and takes over for Frederick in the long run.
But he won’t have to right away, at least. Joe Looney is a more than capable starting center, as we learned in 2018, so if Biadasz isn’t ready for a starting role he won’t be pushed into action. He’ll have time to recover if he needs to, as well as time to learn the offense and adjust to the NFL.
Getting a player of this caliber with the final pick of the fourth round is a low-risk, high-reward move for the Cowboys. Add in the fact that they didn’t have to give up too much to move up in the first place increases the value here. If Biadasz is what everyone thought he was in 2018, this is an absolute steal. If not, then it’s not a big loss. Chalk this up as yet another big win for the Cowboys in this draft.
