A round of applause for Dak Prescott.
The Dallas Cowboys are officially on their bye which means there is no opponent for them to play this week. Consider it another win if you would like to.
If you choose to lump this week into the wins category, then that would keep the Cowboys on their winning ways as last Sunday they took home number five in a row, a victory against the New England Patriots which was the first for this franchise over Bill Belichick in his illustrious career as their head coach.
Sunday was a hard-fought win that featured a dramatic fourth quarter, and it was capped off by an incredible game-sealing touchdown from Dak Prescott to CeeDee Lamb. The completion gave Prescott 445 passing yards on the day, the most ever allowed by a Belichick-coached Patriots team.
The performance wasn’t just good enough for every Cowboys fan to walk a little bit taller in the aftermath. Making history earned Dak Prescott NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for Week 7.
Prescott has been marvelous for the Cowboys this season, his first campaign after earning a record-setting contract from the organization over the offseason, and is much of the reason why the team is experiencing all of the success that they are. Through six games of action, with the admitted acknowledgment that there is much of the season to go, Prescott is firmly in the mix for both the Comeback Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player awards.
Congratulations to Dak Prescott. Here’s to many more.
