Buddy Guy: Born to Play Guitar free on Google play store

Thanks for that!

I was lucky enough to meet Buddy Guy 20 years ago. It was at SXSW and I was working a private event and was eating some BBQ that was set up for the guests. It was still pretty early and guests weren't scheduled for at least an hour but Buddy Guy showed up with his manager. There's only a handful of people in the room and Buddy sits right across the table from me and asks how the BBQ was. I sat sat in awe for a moment, and told him the brisket was alright, the ribs were pretty good, but the sausage was so-so. He looked over at his manager and he went and made Buddy a plate, no sausage.

We sat there eating BBQ and talking for about 20 minutes. I've worked around a lot of musicians and live music, but it was tough not to go all fan boy sitting with Buddy Guy! He was the nicest guy, very cool and laid back.

The event was a BMI distributors party, they had probably 20-25 of their acts performing for VIPs only at the Cactus Cafe which is a pretty small room. Buddy was the 3rd or 4th act and played a set with an acoustic guitar, which was really cool to see. Lot of good acts, a pretty amazing night overall!
