Burden vs Egbuka

Burden is the better playmaker yac type of receiver, where Egbuka is the refined route runner although has played majority of his snaps inside at the slot.

Different type of receivers, where Burden has the higher upside, Egbuka has the higher floor.

Egbuka is more polished but Burden is just so much more athletic and explosive.

I think Egbuka runs ok he just seems like a linear athlete.

I see Egbuka projected as a 4.3 receiver. I agree Burden is far more athletic of the two

I’d be absolutely shocked if he runs in the 4.3s. I think he’ll run well but more in the mid / high 4.4s.

He’s def a high floor guy but one of my only knocks on him is he doesn’t win much down the field.

I think he is similar to the type of receivers we have seen come out of that school, kind of like the Seattle receiver from 2 years ago

I don't like Egbuka as a prospect. Not very big, not very fast, not very quick, doesn't have great hands, his production is nothing special... he is pretty smart about finding holes in zones, but nothing else about him stands out.

Egbuka is a similar type of player as JSN, but JSN had much louder traits. The latter put up a 1600 yard season at Ohio State, then dropped an absolutely filthy 6.57 3-cone at the Combine. And even that only got him to pick #20 (which he has completely justified). I can't see Egbuka going top 20 even in this iffy class.

Thats who he reminds me of JSN. Both were good route runners inside the slot in college

I think Burden is a clear tier above. I do have Egbuka as the #3 WR in this draft (well Im pretty sure almost everyone does). I see hin as about 90% of Olave/Addison which is still pretty good.

I like him if we wind up moving down into the early 20's. Decent enough value, but a critcal position

Man we rarely disagree but I have to on this one…

I actually think Egbuka is a bigger and faster version of JSN without the short area quickness. JSN has turned into a stud #2 and I think Egbuka can do the same.

Neither can win long but both can eat in short and intermediate routes and killing zone coverage.

I don’t know if he’s a better prospect but I think easily just as good.
