On top of not liking Tecmo Bowl QBs, I was out on Williams when he started talking about ownership...I knew where his trajectory is going. He also didn't want to play for certain teams, and had a list of desired teams. Sounds like a headache waiting to happen. Wait till draft time, and watch how many character questions will pop up.

Talented QB, don't get me wrong, but he's already doing too much without taking one snap in the league.

He was dreadful against ND. Then Utah just had him perplexed for the 2nd week in a row.

I don't know what to think about him. Clearly talented. Clearly pulls off plays that are eyepopping. Great mobility. Great arm.

But something just seems off when I look at him. Now in fairness, I suck at QB scouting as I thought Hurts would be an inaccurate bum and Josh Allen would never be able to overcome the fact he was a sub 60% passer in college. So what the *** do I know? LOL.

I will only that he is not as good as he thinks he is.

He has all the physical talent in the world. The question is what is between the ears.
VERY flashy QBs like this do not tend to be great PRO QBs.
Trevor Lawrence was as flashy as you can get and so far he is barely a top 10 (if that) QB in the NFL. I might be giving him more credit then he deserves but I am too lazy to check out his stats real close.

I take him in a second. USC bad in the trenches and a HC who doesnt believe in running the ball. Last two DCs USC faced rushed 3 or 4, then dropped 7 or 8. Those DCs knew they didnt have to defend the run and sold out on the pass all game long. Hard to look good when throwing where the defense constantly has numbers and your O Line cant protect. How good Williams can be will boil down to where he goes. Same exact thing happened to Drake Maye last night. Another player i would take in a second.

That's what happens when you have to play hero ball every week. The talent around him isn't good. People are overthinking him.

What will kill him in the NFL is if he goes into an environment like LAC or Chicago that invests way too heavily on the defensive side of the ball. True for a lot of guys, but he does need a system that can get him a bit more in control. That said, you'd rather have to rein him in than try to get him to be a playmaker.

I guarantee no team gives any player they draft part ownership. If they did they'd be a laughing stock. To even ask for that is beyond laughable I wouldn't draft him on my team.

I mean they won't but it's only a matter of time before profit-sharing, of some sort, is a part of contracts. Guys are losing out on millions when the cap spikes.

Wins aren't a QB stat. Patrick Mahomes went 5-7 in his last year at Texas Tech.

He was terrible against ND, but looks to have shook it off against Washington. His body of work is strong enough that a couple stinkers will not sink him.

The talent is too good to not take a chance. He’s one of the rare players that has all of the tools to challenge Mahomes as best in the league. Yeah, he could bust, but I’d take have a shot at a generational QB even if there is a good amount of risk.

Maye and Williams are worthy of the hype. But going to bad teams with bad personnel ain’t gonna help. Teams at the the top generally need a ton. One could certainly end up with the Giants. But that team is terrible. Awful OL and bad receiving group. That situation could ruin a QB.

Aikman was almost destroyed to the point that Jimmy drafted Steve Walsh as an insurance policy

Emmitt / Irvin and the great wall saved his career and resulted in multiple super bowls

That is not how it happened. Aikman was taken in the 1989(April) standard draft. Walsh was taken in the 1989(July) supplemental draft. Both QBs went into training camp as rookies the same season.
