Seriously... this guy was really really exposed today. He just absolutely cannot move his feet and has to resort to holding or tripping. He is a glaring weakness. Thankfully he didn't kill our game winning drive with yet another hold as we climbed out of 2nd and 15.

Thoughts? Can he be replaced or do we just have to deal with him. He's a huge concern IMO. Great win BTW.

Who do we replace him with? We definately need to look at OT early in the draft this year.
Scratch that, we'll probably just try to sign one who will have two or three decent years left in him.

Give Free more time with the first team in practice and see what he can do. Do we really have anything to lose? The penalties and poor play overall can't continue. Maybe taking Flo our of the starting lineup will motivate him to work harder. Maybe he's just done. Who knows?????

flozell adams is the weakest link on this ballclub.

why people continue to defend this lazy, false starting, holding, drive killing, aging, best years behind him, slob is beyond me or any other fan with reason.

Ken Hamlin is by far the weakest link. How many TD's has he single handedly given up?

He will. I thought prior to this year that this is end of line for him. Free agent LT is priority number 1.

All those contracts from season before last - Newman, Adams, Barber, Hamlin, and last year Williams - are looking pretty pitiful right now.

Especially Flo.

Yes, Flozell Adams should continue to start at Left Tackle, however the Cowboys should be making plans to find his eventual replacement.

He is really struggling against Outside Linebackers.

Is Free an answer against smaller quicker pass rushers?.Flo is just too slow to handle them.

I started a thread about Flozell but it got merged into the game thread..thanks for starting another one. That being said...FLozell needs to jump into the deepest chasm on earth and never, ever come out. First I want to thank Flozell for causing some drive killing penalties so his defenders can finally shut up.

Really he's the one doing all the work because many fans defend him because of his supposed excellent play but just like last year against the steelers Flozell can't handle the speedy 3-4 linemen around the corners and he gets embarassed. Flo is DONE...he's been done and he needs to stay away from Dallas. This guy's a big baby who's collecting big checks from Jerry who doesn't get no reprecussions for causing so many penalties.

He is the NFl's most overrated OL and some of his Pro bowls are questionable....really a waste on the Cowboys Roster. When the Cowboys bring in a new coach next year...there is no way a Shanny, Holmgren, Cowher or any other sensible Coach would keep FLO on the Roster...for that matter Carpenter, Hamlin, and Spencer would probably be fired also. That is all........

Let's see how Wade handles underperforming players:

Ken Hamlin, check.
Booby Carpenter, check.
Cory Proctor (last year, with anybody else on the bench), check
Roy Williams (last year) check.
Anthony Henry (last year with Scandrick & Jenkins on the bench), check.
Akin Adoyle (two years ago) check.

Yeah, he'll still play Flo.

I've said it many times on the zone...the Dallas Cowboys coaches and talent department are the worst in the NFL. IF Austin Miles was on the Eagles or Patriots bench this guy would of been in 3 pro bowls already...oh gee Austin just had 250 yards..ahhh he's just lucky we'll start Crayton and Roy....same old Cowboys. Remember Steve Smith???

:hammer:

I don't know about the Pro Bowl, but there is no question Miles Austin and Tahsard Choice would be heavy contributors on teams that have better Coaching.

Miles Austin is the best overall receiver on this team and after 5 Games, the Offensive Coordinator is just finding out :bang2: .

If Wade and Red were smart they would start both Austin and Free next game. Austin is a no-brainer but I wouldn't be surprised if it's business as usual. Free would send a message and see what we've got. You wouldn't even necessarily keep him in the whole game--give him the first quarter and then send in Flo (unless Free is playing well).

These coaches are cautious to a fault with personnel.
