I was rewatching the Colts game yesterday and something caught my attention. We went back and forth with the a struggling Colts team till the 2nd half. These coaches make half time adjustments unlike the Garrett era, Garrett's teams would've let this struggling Colts team hang in there till the very end and even possibly win the game. I'm thankful to have coaches who at least try to change things up if they aren't working, I know the Green Bay game is some what of an exception.

all true but when fans and media keep calling the colts a struggling bad team as if they should be blown out from the first snap haven't been watching..

what i took from the game is after we got up 14-10 we never gave up the lead and would have won anyways,

eagles'-colts game, the eagles trailed all game until the last series to win 17-16

wasnt the eagles also tied at the half with the Texans until the texans qb threw his 3rd int and the eagles opened up big lead late?

didn't the eagles have dogfight in the jags game until late? The jags qb fumbles 4 times and eagles still had to play 4 qtrs to beat them

what fans forget , this is the NFL, these other teams have NFL payers and will come after the better teams as if its their SB, most of those games are on Prime time and they come out and give their best effort.

the mighty eagles struggles with all those allegedly bad teams the first half of those games.

absoultly...and the colts were top ten in both yards allowed and passing yards allowed, so their defesne is no joke

I've also noticed this year we make decent halftime adjustments compared to the past. When Rush was playing, we seemed to always go to the next level after half-time. Can't confirm it, but maybe outside of the gb game, it always seemed like if we led by halftime, we ended up winning

WRONG first off the bears game Dak got us out to 28-7 lead put up what 49? got us out hot again the Vikings 40-3? we are the highest scoring offense in the legue since Daks return and now our Net Point differential is #1
odd huh? the weakest link happens to be the player that elevated us from bottom 10 with Rush to top 5 Now.. Odd why did Rush struggle to score 20 and dak dropping 40+ burgers many games giving us late leads and the defense blows the GB lead.. yup all dak LOL:rolleyes:

how about blame gameplans, executions, and other factors to start off slow in a few games.. all that matters are wins. each game different. blaming one and done on Dak also an ignorant take , 14 Penalties, no run game our d early give up 4 Straight scores and what they averaged 10YPC with deebo on that first drive.,.sure its Dak who is out weak link, same with the Ginats game on TG 13 penalty's some odd play calling etc etc ..

Please bring in some true football iq into debates..

We do halftime adjustments now, which are to the teams benefit.

Same thing kinda happened in the Lions game. The Colts just couldn't hold on to the football for a variety of reasons.

The Colts beat the Bucs and the Chiefs. Lost to the Eagles by 1 point in a 17-16 game. Came within 3 points of beating the Bills.

This is a good roster with some very good players. The problem has been injuries to Taylor and the QB position has been horrible. As you saw last night with Matt Ryan.

While I didn't see much improvement in the 3rd qtr, which leads me to believe any adjustments they tried to make didn't work, I've definitely noticed a trend that would seem to indicate that MM does make halftime adjustments regularly, especially compared to the previous coach. Garrett's theme was, "Just keep doing it. It'll work eventually."

All this doesn't change the fact that Dak does struggle in the first half's of games. When Dak is patient and lets the game develop, we do well. When he starts trying to come out run up tempo and act like he's Mahomes thats when we struggle on offense.

Against the Colts on the 5 non TD drives we didn't do more then 6 plays in a drive. With one of the 6 play drives ending an interception, 3 3and outs, and the other drive failing to get more then 30 yards. 4 of those 5 drives, where in the first half, with the last one being the first drive after halftime.

Dak is a great QB when he stays calm and plays within the offense. He turns into a Avg QB when he tries to put the game on his shoulders and win. Sometimes it works out, but more times then not it ends in a INT or a bad decision that costs us the game. Be a homer, but at least be reasonable about it.

Dang, I didn't know you were the president of the Dak Prescot fan club! Because only a blind poster would make comments that you've made. Prescot's slow starts and poor throws kept the game close for three quarters. As for the rest of the games that Prescot has played in, he's struggled to get the offense on track and if it hadn't been for the defense and a decent running game this club WOULD be sitting in last place in their division! You're delusional if you think Prescot's play has been DECENT this year. Prescot's play deserves a "C-" at best, if his slow starts aren't addressed in the near future it's going to be ONE and Done 2.0 when the playoffs start!
