Can we give a shoutout to Edoga and Bass?

Our backup O line was a huge worry going into the season. The backups have been playing very good when needed!

Those two have held down the LG position in Tyler Smith's absence very nicely. It seemed in the past that if a starting OL went down that side became a sieve but not this year. I think a lot of it has to do with play calling and Dak getting the ball out much quicker.
If the line can hold their 2.0 this offense can go against Philadelphia and San Francisco, both.

I think that Bass playing like a road grader, technchian is a big help as well. Asim Richards has been good as well.... quiet, few penalties, not much in the category of missed blocks.

Edoga has been really good at LG.

I don't think the Jets ever tried him at OG.

He did play 1 game at LG with the Falcons last year before gettng injured.

He is a starting quality OG but needs to stay healthy.

Great thread man and yes, we should shout out to them.
I was one who really questioned our O Line depth and felt we had done a poor job of planning considering the injury history of Tyron.
I'm happy to eat crow and hope it continues.
Edoga has looked very solid and capable, though the little injuries are a conern.
Bass looked very good last week.
Plus, Tyron has looked like the Tyron of old.
It's only 2 games and it's a long season, but If Tyron can avoid serious injury, Tyler Smith an come back strong, and the Right side can stay healthy, we have a solid 6th man in Edoga who can pay T or G, and a nice player in Bass who can play G and C.
That would be the ultimate IMO, 5 good to great startes and 2 multi position guys on the Bench that we have full confidence in.

Ok stop with the "really good". He has survived and played solid.

He has NEVER been a starting caliber guard in his career. He has also gotten hurt each game. Too early for this kind of praise.

Bass and Edoga have shined at times, and other times, been beaten. But all in all. I am happy. Now MAYBE Richards can be a nice swing tackle if needed.
