Can we have Clark rush the passer?

Not to talk down on Clark, but I'm not sure he's the player we believed he'd be, coming from last season when he showed some promise. He still looks late in reacting, slow to the ball. With that said, LVE was used to pass rush, why not give Clark the same opportunity at times?? With LVE I'm hearing he's going to play more, just a thought, please give me your thoughts

Rushing LVE was pointless other than to occupy a blocker.

Move Micah back to off ball LB, and have him rush potentially from multiple gaps.
Just rotate Armstrong, Fowler and Williams more at the RDE.

So if Evans isn't ready for game day action, you want to go down to zero off the ball LBs?

Parsons is a top four edge player in the NFL. Any notion you want to screw that up..........is silly.
He can get to the QB in any position. Not saying to drop him into coverage. Just move him around to rush the passer.

What makes you think he can do this, Dan Quinn saying so? MP has very little off the ball coverage experience, even in high school he was edge, college primarily edge, then is drafted by cowboys thinking he was a LB. Kid, until shuts his trap, is an undersized unique edge rusher, not a lb

The OP was about blitzing Clark from the LB spot.

I mentioned instead of blitzing Clark, move Micah to LB if you want a LB blitz, and he can attack the QB from multiple gap options.

I'm not suggesting have Parsons drop into zone coverage. Just have him rush from the LB spot and put Williams/Fowler/Armstrong in at DE.

He wasn't edge in college, he was a LB.

I would like to see a move to more to a base 3-4 DEF. Evans and Clarke as ILBS. Micah as full-time OLB

Clark was solid rushing the passer at LSU, and really thought him and Micah would do damage, but that hasn't materialized. I think the skill set is there to rush, moreso, than LVE.

I'm looking for Rashaad Evans to be for Damone Clark what Jason Peters was to Tyler Smith or TY to Tolbert last season. Clark will finally have a LB to learn from who comes to hit, and plays the MLB position with the proper mindset, temperament and intent.

I was thinking along those lines. Micah simply doesn't have the build to set the edge as 4-3 DE's must do. 3-4 OLB sure does appear to fit him to a T.

Can someone please put this to Dan Quinn?
Evans scouting report suggests he is a 3-4 ILB he is not a coverage LB
