Ok we around 5 mill in cap room left at the deadline and I assume it was put into LTBE incentives as it has been in the past

We have over 11.6 mill in dead money coming off the books

and the cap is going up about 10 mill or so?

So without the salary increases from this year to next we would have 26 mill or so in cap room.

But obviously the salary of most players is going up, so my question to Adam is what is the current Salary of the Cowboys team for 2006.

I believe we spent some of the $5M we had free going into season on vet min and rook signs for injury.

Damn if we leave money on the table again for next season. We $ wise have to be top 5 in revenue generation......

the money is not left on the table Nors it is rolled over to spend this year

Thats not true -

We left money on the table two years running. Keep justifying "not spending" it this year.

With holes at FS, RT - its almost a crime candidly.

I still dont want Law, no matter how many more fantasies Nors dreams up lol

That would be great if we are 26 million under the cap.

We can keep Brady James. Add Terell Owens and if LeCharles Bently becomes a FA sign him. And with some luck Hutchinson becomes a FA and we can get him to!!

That would be a great off season!

While I do agree with the idea that RT should have been addressed with a vet for insurance/depth (Gragg, at least), I don't agree that money is left and unspent.

2004's "unspent" money in part funded the signing bonuses of guys like Ferguson and Henry. Its not a "use it or lose it" concept. Wasting money on guys that won't help just to burn cap space is stupid.
