I think they probably did the best they could, really. Captain America and Wonder Woman are about the least translatable.

Actually it's not that bad. No way they could have done a literal translation. You can see how they kinda hid the stripes on the belly to make it look less hokey. Glad they got rid of the "feathers" on the upper torso.
