The Cardinals job isn't a bad one. Kyler Murray is the $200M question, but the roster is basically teardown ready with little talent, average cap room, and some high draft picks. The fans don't expect to win now. Ownership generally has given coaches and GMs a long leash.
It's kind of like the HC job Robert Saleh took with the Jets. Year one, you are going to suck, and year two, you're probably going to suck as well. But by year three, you could have a defense built your way with your handpicked guys.
