I agree with you. We don't have a Steve Smith, and neither do Pittsburgh, but guys like Glenn and Ward/Randle-El make some big plays.

If we can get another presence as a pass rusher at OLB, we could very well become a top team.

There's a reason guys like John Fox, Belichek, Parcells, Cowher are succesful more often than guys like Martz who come out and win with offense. Bill Walsh is a good offensive coach, but he never did it without a great defense either.

It just shows that Bill might know a little more than he's given credit for...

I was watching an interview with Lawrence Taylor recently, and he was talking about Parcells and Dallas, etc. He said that Bill always told them to do their job abd get into the tournament. Once there, Bill said that he could get them the rest of the way...

I have no doubts that Bill knows what it takes to win - really win. Now, the team needs a couple more playmakers to take that next step.
