I thought that if Dallas wins, and Carolina loses, the Cowboys are inthe playoffs regardless of the other games.

Well, ESPN doesn't say anything about that. It says Dallas needs to win, and Washington to lose, but never mentions anything about Carolina.

If Dallas and Carolina both end up 10-6, who gets in and under what tie breaker?

Dallas would be in because head to head, Dallas beat Carolina. I really believe that this is the way that it will happen.

It would depend on how many teams are 10-6.

Under your scenario I believe both would get in with Washington eliminated. Dallas would be the 5 seed and Carolina the 6 seed.

Unless I am forgetting someone.

How could Washington be out when they beat us twice?

I think Dallas is in with a win and Carolina loss, regardless of the Skins. But the Skins are in over Dallas if they both finish 10-6, due to head to head, so it must be the same in regard to Carolina and Dallas.

Our best bet is the Falcons over the Panthers.

Because they would be 9-7 if they lose. Carolina at 10-6 would beat them out, as would we.

Thought our head to head play against each other was deciding factor as re Carolina & Cowboys. Course this based on Carolina losing last game and us winning ours. If it were to come down to us & Tampa then other criteria comes into play.

Lets just root for a Dallas win, a Carolina loss, a Washington loss, and a Tampa loss and figure it out after the games... :D

Throw in a Giants loss to really muddy the water.

Sorry, reread that piece. Missed the part about Washington losing. My bad.

One big reason that I want to make the playoffs is to scare/worry other teams. Who would want to play us? It would be fun to be the spoilers while it lasted...say all the way to the Superbowl!!!!
