My greatest hope after the loss to the Patriots is that Tony Romo gets Carte Blanch to run this offense against the Rams and future opponents.
Sure I agree with managing him to an extent in certain situations. Against 26-28 teams, I probably agree with Garrett's approach to let the defense finish out the game. You just don't do that against the Patriots, nor would I suggest doing it against the Packers or the Saints, maybe not even against Detroit, and San Diego either.
The one thing I would like to be able to see is more chances in the redzone. How many of Romo's picks this year have come in the redzone? I think he has one redzone turnover, which was that fumble.
I'm not sure why we weren't able to take some shots in the redzone against the Patriots. Whether it was the line not holding, receivers not getting open, or Romo not being able to pull the trigger.
What I never want to see again is that shovel pass non sense...
Jason Garrett is in his first full year of being a head coach, the man really should have done himself a favor and hired an offensive coordinator. I'm not certain how these offensive coaches just skated through the offseason as if the 2010 offense wasn't at all a problem. I think they got the benefit of the doubt because Romo was hurt for the year. Fact is the offense was a problem since Week 1. Specifically the offensive line and running backs. What did we do? We promoted everyone involved and the blame I guess went on Ray Sharman, Barber, Columbo, Davis, and Gurode.
I see our offensive coaches as an absolute train wreck, and that is why to this day we can't even line our offense up properly, we don't have people running proper routes, and we can't even get blocks in front of screens...
What happened to preseason? We were running good screen routes. Now every screen we set up has NO BLOCKS in front of it. Who told the coaches this is the best way to run screens?
